While initially intriguing, it becomes tedious when it's repeated without significant impact on the plot.
The main character (MC) is portrayed as overpowered from the start, which is fine as a starting point. However, this renders most action scenes predictable, as there's little tension outside of the MC trying to conceal their power. Combat scenes could be summarized more efficiently, mentioning only the defeated monsters and the MC's involvement.
Character development mainly revolves around skill improvement, with minimal emotional growth or meaningful interactions among the characters. Even the MC's relationships with the harem members are shallow, focusing on jealousy and attempts to gain attention. Skipping over four-fifths of the story wouldn't significantly affect the plot.
Overall, I've given the story a three, acknowledging that despite its length and occasional dull moments, it hasn't caused frustration. The experience is mild and enjoyable, with boring sections easily skimmed over.
It could just be me, but the atmosphere reminds me of the web novel "The Beloved Pet Fish of the Disabled Tyrant," often referred to as "danmei." The low rating isn't necessarily due to explicit content (people who enter knowing the premise and accept the plot developments, despite not being interested, shouldn't complain if it doesn't align with their preferences), but rather the execution. The story could have benefited from a smoother progression, showing character growth and moral dilemmas, instead of jumping straight into intense relationships. The lack of satisfying development is a letdown.
Yu Xiang's extreme luck throughout becomes monotonous, as she consistently prevails, defeating those who oppose her, even if they deserve it. While it has an in-story explanation, it becomes boring to witness her constant victories. As for characters like Yu Miaoqi, her one-dimensional nature or exaggerated vanity make her seem like a caricatured villain, serving as a stepping stone for the protagonist.
Overall, the story feels平淡 or underwhelming to me, despite occasional well-written scenes. My lukewarm response contributes to a lower rating compared to the average.
Tbh once he became a Sage the story basically ends he just does it again and again and again. Nothing in the story will be different.
