Great book! The author is very good at creating an interesting world and characters wile making them all play well together. The story is great making me check multiple times a day for updates. Keep it up author.
The story is not consistent. In the first chapter it is mentioned that the MC and his sister are ordinary people without any talents. Though the MC's turned out to be true, the sister is talented in archery. Even the technology of the world is inconsistent. It is mentioned that there are cars and planes. But the MC travelled in carriage in 1 chapter. The names are also not to my liking. Go with western completely or chinese completely. I was not able to go past chapter 30 with that many plot inconsistencies.
The writing quality is terrible. This could be such a great novel if they author actually knew how to write a story. So many repetitive words, sentences that make no sense, and lacking metaphors. It’s honestly unfortunate because this book could have potential if it was written by someone else. I rate 1.5 stars, literally hurts my brain trying to read this book.
This is one my favorite novels it is a hidden gem I am surprised it is not very popular I think there needs to be a lot more people to read it It has not that much of the bad wuxia, xinian, and xuahuan cliches and the ones it does it has a new take on them that is addictive (not saying some of the bad cliches are bad in my opinions) I hope the author makes this a 1000+ chapters , does not drop this, adds multiple realms, makes this a harem, and adds kingdom building elements
This is one of those novels where you will either loved it, or you will really hate it. The MC has a system that requires him to have a useless sect but his disciples goes OP instead. This gains his sect fame, which cause the MC to lose his cultivation. In many ways, the MC is like Boss Pei in "Losing Money To Be A Tycoon
This is definitely my favorite novel, and the reason it's ******: this novel is unique. Not some unique idea, world or cultivation, but a unique feeling it pass to you, the best way to describe is reading the title: A journey to immortality. I read many xianxia novels, good ones, but none could get myself so into the story like this one. You feel the struggle, the dangers, and most important, the achievements. This novel is probably the closest to 'real' wich a xianxia can get! Why? Many factors, one of those, the pace. Cultivation takes time, or it probably should as many authors say, but don't show it, but not here. In RMJI each level on cultivation means a lot, and so little. A lot because it shows how powerful one gets, how desired it's just one more level. A little because it's often show that thoses levels don't mean everything, and if one is careless he may lose his life, like it should be on a so called 'dangerous cultivation world'.

A surprisingly funny take on what can be considered a tired genre of webnovels, that being the "alternate world entertainment is lacking so I'll use my original world's ideas to get rich" trope.Sure it's like a lot of other works, but the author has made it just funny enough to keep me reading through the 60 chapter trial read.A highlight of the novel is the side characters, most of whom have no contact with the MC and are just living normal lives while becoming infatuated with the toys. Realistic depictions of kids and how they just so so so so NEED that new toy from the show, and then how to hide it from their parents, teachers, etc.The comedic aspects don't drag down the story, and only pop up every couple of chapters, often in unexpected ways. Like a joke that was innocuously set up a few chapters before a single line pays it off.I will say that the first ten chapters or so were written in a bit too much of an overview style that were a little off putting since it seemed distant and rushed, but after that it settled down and the pacing worked better.

This novel is quite good, but is dragged down by inconsistencies and an extremely unoriginal author. The premise is awesome. Three different villages, each one cultivating a different art: witchcraft( hexes and curses ), zombie controlling and poison( MCs village). And this is where the awesomness ends. Within 10 chapters, MC cultivates his village's special poison cultivation skill. And instead of poison skills, he gets physically strong. He hits hard. Such a fcking dissapointment. And once in a while, when its convenient for the plot, he has poison skills. The novel is extremely generic. There is better around.
