This is not a martial arts novel this is a slice of life romance novel about a guy who's trying to woo a girl and uses martial arts to do it.
The Vongola estate is described in such a way that it feels less like a home and more like a gilded cage, and I think that's completely intentional. Molly's escape sequence is one of the most vivid scenes in this batch. The bathroom window near the ceiling, the first-floor position, the soft grass below—it's all choreographed like a heist movie. But what makes it work is the atmosphere. The suffocating silence after she tells him to forget last night. The rustling of the bag as he rummages through her things. The way the guards mysteriously leave right when she needs an opening. And then there's Yamamoto. Of all people. Pushing an empty wheelchair like it's the most normal thing in the world, standing at the end of the road like a checkpoint guardian. The contrast between his bright, easy smile and the fact that he's now a Vongola subordinate is jarring in the best way. "Mostly errands and cleanup work"—yeah, sure, Takeshi. Keep telling yourself that. The garden gate opening to reveal Butler William's car waiting like a deus ex machina... it's almost too perfectly orchestrated. Which makes you wonder: was it? The world feels alive, claustrophobic, and dangerously beautiful all at once.
You can feel the helplessness. Then she’s at that point will accept or fight?
