"Love cannot last long without material comforts." That line. That absolute line. Spoken with maximum theatricality by a woman who is literally pretending to be an immortal deity, and the System's response—"Your material comfort is an air conditioner?"—is the perfect straight-man delivery I didn't know I needed. The dialogue in this book operates on three levels simultaneously, and that's what makes it so addictive. There's the surface level (formal, courtly, full of loaded silence), the internal level (Qing Ni's modern, sarcastic, panicking thoughts), and the System level (deadpan commentary that undercuts everything). The most hilarious exchange is probably the whole moonlight posing scene. Qing Ni is giving the Emperor this ethereal, detached-from-the-world performance, and internally she's calculating lighting angles like a content creator. When the System asks "What if there's no moon tonight?" and she immediately has a backup plan about dusk lighting? This woman is not a divine being. She is a VERY PREPARED influencer. And the dialogue between the Emperor and Li Si? Almost nothing is said directly. The Emperor asks about the fish, Li Si deflects, the Emperor's face grows grim, and they both understand each other perfectly without either of them saying what they're actually thinking. That's masterful subtext writing. The author trusts the reader to connect the dots. The System's voice is also distinct enough that you could identify it in a blind test. It's dry, slightly exasperated, and occasionally offers genuinely useful information wrapped in sarcasm. "Darling, I'm a Favored Concubine System, not a Taobao System" is a line that will live in my head rent-free.
This story has a lot of potential, but it is all over the place, making it difficult to continue reading. You need to develop the characters and storyline so that it flows more smoothly, as well as correcting the grammatical error. This story had the potential to have 100+ chapters. Overall, not bad
Oh now Zane is feeling jealous for Nivea laughing at his cousin flirting with her. I love how interesting it's becoming.

I just want 2 say if u can’t handle reading extreme acts of violence/abuse or reading about sexual assault. Then don’t read this. But I just want 2 say 2 the author. This book is absolutely incredible, ur level of detail in the descriptions of events or emotions is absolutely remarkable. Keep at it!
