Terrible to read, if it is translated to English, it is an awfull translation
Absolutely love this book. When will it be continued?
Demonise is mentioned in Vampire’s Bedwarmer about Diamond “Dye” & Aesthetic “Thea.” Where does this book fit? The Sold to Him summary says their kids are in a later book, but which are books 1-3? I know Vampire’s Bedwarmer is before His Sinful Desires. Is Sold to Him book 3 or before other two?
good novel
Okay so let me just say — the scene where Murong Jing slaps Ji Ruyue is one of those moments that completely flips the entire power dynamic, and I am HERE for it. On paper, this is a classic "princess forces marriage on reluctant family" setup. You've seen it a million times. But the author subverts it beautifully because Ji Ruyue doesn't fight back the way you'd expect. She plays the victim so perfectly that the crowd turns ON the princess instead. Think about that — the person with actual power loses control of the room because the person without power manipulates public opinion like a chess grandmaster. "Water can carry a boat, but it can also overturn it." This line hit me like a truck. Ji Ruyue literally uses the crowd's sympathy as a weapon. She knows exactly what she's doing when she starts sobbing and threatens to die — she's not having a breakdown, she's executing a plan. The fact that she endures the slap instead of dodging it? That's not weakness, that's tactical genius. She lets herself get hit so she can weaponize the injury. And then the ending where she coldly tells her maid to bring Chen Shujin's entire bloodsucking family into the house? Chills. Absolute chills. She's not just surviving this — she's setting up a trap for her past-life abusers. The plot threads from her previous life are weaving into the present in such a satisfying way. I literally sat there staring at the page wondering what Chen Shujin's family will do when they walk into a lion's den.
I stopped reading after Chapter 17. Other reviewers were correct – this reads like an unprofessional fanfiction written by a teenager. It's unclear if the issue lies with the translation or the original author, but the writing is choppy, with inconsistent tenses and phrases that appear overly elaborate, bordering on imitation of a Victorian-era fanfiction. There are also excessive use of semicolons, which seem unnecessary.
Here are some examples from Chapter 1:
- Spoiler: "Yui Mei was raised in the nunnery until she turned seven; by then, she learned about her own story through the gossiping nuns."
- "Her black hair was tinged with a shade of midnight blue; it was a marvelous sight, indeed."
- "She even went to China with her friends to attend fan events; not just once, but multiple times."
The writing style appears forced and pretentious:
- Spoiler: "A beauty, having the lowest status among the empress and imperial wives, originally entered the palace as a court lady. Her plain appearance was what caught the emperor's eye, her hair color being the source of favor. By the way, Yui Mei's hair color came from her mother."
- "Her promotion after giving birth to the emperor's child led to resentment from higher-ranking consorts, despite her lack of connections."
Repetitive sentence structures like "Moreover," "By the way," "Apparently," "Indeed," and "Nevertheless" make the text monotonous.
Lastly, there's an overabundance of commas, often without the Oxford comma, which detracts from the clarity of the sentences:
- Spoiler: "People dressed in exquisite attire watched Yui Mei's group, moving back and forth, likely finding it unusual to see country girls in the capital."
In conclusion, I stopped reading due to poor writing and grammatical issues, which made the reading experience tedious and unenjoyable.
One of the most epic novels I've read so far. Excellent job just needs more chapters like Wrath needs mint chocolate chip
Did you find any, I read up to the current chapter at the time of 560. and I honestly havent thought about this novel since, does it get any better?
it well progress a lot around chapter 600
well i went to see if the novels were written correctly and i got the name of primordial wars wrong here the correct name "Chronicles of Primordial Wars" so if you googled it and didn't find it on the site and why I got some parts of the name wrong, in addition, I also got the name of the third novel wrong in some parts, here the correct name "I Am Really Not The Son of Providence", ok I forgot the "of" of Paragon of Sins, so I also got the name of the third novel wrong, the right name is "Paragon of Sin", I wrote it without copying the names so it's not uncommon that I got the names wrong
good and its completed
I warn you, this novel is not at all 5*.
The beginning is very bad and very confusing (about 150 chapters), although it is true that the plot and the characters get interesting later on. But also to mention that the end of the story as well as some intermediate plots of the story leave much to be desired and leave you with a bad taste in your mouth. And finally the protagonist, you will feel that except for a few occasions, the protagonist has forgotten that she has a brain to use it and is almost always saved by the plot armor.
I gave it 3* in the review simply because it hooked me enough to finish the story, otherwise I would have given it 2*.
