great book!!!
I loved this entire series, Alpha of Nightmares being the first I read. Amazing story, love the strong Crista, how Alec becomes the man & leader he was destined to be, the other characters all have just enough input into this story to make it better, and for their own books.
How can you make a rapist the ML? Riccardo raped her not once many times threatening her daughters life & she still fell in love with him? Disgusting!! Aniya is the biggest doormat I've ever read. Spineless & weak. Please don't normalize rape. No girl can fall for her rapist. Pathetic!!
Saree sucks me in every time. The storyline is great as usual, each wait for a chapter upload leaves you begging for more. Love the storyline, has angst and adventure with a lovestory that leaves you on the edge trying to figure out where it will go. Love Saree's work!
I've been avidly reading this novel since its first translation with only 13 chapters, progressing through two translators – the second one's work was exceptional – all the way up to around chapter 25. Although I did read the machine-translated version up until chapter 102, I haven't had the chance to watch the series yet.
This book is unbelievably fantastic! I couldn't resist searching for the machine-translated version when the second translator stopped, eager to know what happens to my favorite antagonist, asdfghjkl! Let me tell you, despite being a villain, he possesses undeniable charm. He's incredibly intelligent; spoilers incoming – he consistently outmaneuvers his pursuers.
And oh boy, those asdfghjkl (cough, cough) scenes were scorching hot! It was an exhilarating read. I'm definitely planning to re-read, focusing on the first three cases that have etched themselves in my memory, while also revisiting the translations by the different groups involved.
The initial premise was intriguing, but the constant shift between multiple perspectives and a disjointed plot made it challenging to maintain consistent engagement. By the end, I found the main character (MC) less appealing due to their somewhat exaggerated naivety, which came across as more ditzy than endearing. The complex web of nobles scheming against the MC for the love interest (ML) added to the confusion.
The romantic relationship dynamics between the MC and ML fathers added an unnecessary layer of complexity. The revelation that the MC's own father was unaware of his identity further complicated matters. Unfortunately, the frequent point-of-view changes did little to clarify the story and contributed to my eventual loss of interest.
If this site has low standards I don’t wanna know what u consider web novel ratings.
