RagingMutant
Where alpha grrrr
good plot. more like something out of a movie
Do not and I repeat do not even waste your time or money in this crappy book. It is a complete disaster with no real plot or story. The description of the book is no where like the actual book. Dee is the most abused mentally, physically -and sexually character on any book. Brendan is crap
I also wants to collect books and yours seems like perfect to read when resting and actually doing nothing but reading. I'm actually imagining myself getting old reading books...️
loved the book it was very eventful
love it so much
please update....checking every 5 mins from past 1hr to whether it is updated or not.
A book that keeps you on your toes, just when you think you know what is happening Cass surprises us time and time again. Another brilliant book I can’t put down.
what a lovely story!! I hope there is one or two more chapters.
I have just started , but love it. Nice work author.
Please bear with me, I apologize again
The visual storytelling in these chapters is INSANE. Let me just talk about one scene for a second. Cen Yunan's photo: 'Under the dim yellow lamp, the man reclined on a black bed, clad in a loosely draped wine-red silk robe. Red and black intertwined. Smooth, lean muscles, sharply cut V-lines, even faint traces of lingering moisture on his skin…' The author doesn't just describe—he paints. Every word is deliberate. Wine-red silk against black bedsheets. The hazy lighting. The moisture on skin. This isn't just a thirst trap (though it absolutely is) — it's worldbuilding through atmosphere. We learn that this man lives in darkness, that he's theatrical, that he uses his appearance as a weapon. Then there's Tang Yue's room when Cen Yinian appears: 'Through the swirling red-black haze, a shadowy figure emerged.' The demonic energy described as 'dark crimson light twined around her neck, tightening sharply.' The contrast between angelic light and demonic shadows isn't just aesthetic—it's thematic. The whole world operates on this light/dark binary, and Xin Ling exists right in the middle, a fallen angel who refuses to fall further. The rain scene too—'The fog outside blurred with drizzle tapping against the windowpanes, and with the curtains half-drawn, the room was dim'—this sets up the Ouyang Shaojing visit perfectly. Claustrophobic, murky, uncertain. Just like their relationship.
