It looks good to read. But it is too long I hate reading over 200 chapters the stories just keeps going circles.
Okay so let me just say this plot twist had me doing a double-take. The Red Lotus assassin comes after Zhao Xuanyin at the Juyun Water Pavilion, right? Everyone thinks HE was the target. Even Zhao Xuanyin himself is like, 'I must be quite important.' But then—BAM—the real target was the Prince Consort all along. The attack on Xuanyin was literally a diversion. Zhao Xuanyin himself figures it out: 'So it was a diversion, aimed at the Prince Consort all along.' And honestly? It makes total sense when you think about it. Wen Zhaonian had wronged seamstresses, the Red Lotus Sect operates under 'acting on behalf of heaven,' and assassinating a Prince Consort in a heavily guarded water pavilion is the ultimate power move and reputation builder for them. But then—AND THIS IS THE GOOD PART—the assassination attempt on Zhao Xuanzhen's carriage right after they leave? That's a SECOND wave. The Red Lotus isn't done. They're hitting multiple targets in one night. The plot structure here is doing something really smart: it starts with what seems like a personal attack, reveals it was misdirection, then immediately escalates the stakes by attacking the Heir himself. The pacing is relentless. I literally did not want to put the book down after the carriage scene. And Su Wantang falling into the lotus pond? Xie Yan notices. 'The assassin escaped by water, and she happened to fall into the water earlier… Is it such a coincidence?' That thread is still dangling and I NEED to know what's going on. The author is layering mysteries on top of action sequences and it's working beautifully.
