Nice storyline and writing style. I’d highly recommend?
This is one of the best story I have read!!!!
Enjoying this book a lot. Can’t wait for updates to find out what happens next. Left with a huge cliffhanger with the main storyline and then another cliffhanger with the side story.
Hey, guys. This is the author of His Fragile Flame. I just wanted to thank you all for reading this book; your support means a lot to me. I would also appreciate some feedback, and I would love some opinions in my novel so far. Love lots♡
I have read lots of different types of romance novel, mystery, crime but this book has my attention from the get go. Can wait to read the sequel. Kudos to the author for the amazing job. Loved it
I like it!
I like the groove. But in my opinion, there are some sentences and punctuation that are a little annoying. But no problem, it can be fixed. Keep Spirit
Let me break down the stakes here because they're layered in a way that makes every scene feel dangerous. On the surface, Qiao Shilian is trying to get to the Jiunu Mountain hunt to catch an assassin. She knows there's an insider working with Fang Yaoyao, and she suspects that insider has connections to the Eastern Palace. If she just tells the Crown Prince she's coming, the assassin might become more cautious and she'll lose her chance. So she's playing a game of information control — hiding her true intentions from everyone, including her own brother, including the Crown Prince, and even from Su Zhuoguang whose help she's somehow tangled up in. But the personal stakes are just as high. Su Zhuoguang is caught between his duty (returning the hairpin, delivering messages) and something he can't name — that lingering sensation from the carriage kiss that 'felt searing, burning, scorching his throat and his very core.' He doesn't understand his own anger, and that lack of self-knowledge makes him dangerous, both to himself and to Qiao Shilian. And then there's the Crown Prince, Qin Shuo, who just connected Su Zhuoguang's presence at the hunt to Qiao Shilian's attendance. The author drops this like a bomb at the very end — Qin Shuo's 'eyes as dark as the night, his expression imposing' as he stares at the hairpin in Su Zhuoguang's hand. The triangulation is complete: Qiao Shilian wants to catch the assassin, the Crown Prince is closing in on her secret, and Su Zhuoguang is holding the physical evidence (the hairpin) that could expose everything. Three parties, one hairpin, and a forest hunt where someone is going to get hurt.
