I watched the State of Divinity (1996 TV series) and loved that show. I knew there was a Novel of it but never spent the time to look for it until now. Was reading it online but the chapters very LONG and I keep loosing track of where I left off so I came here. Reading it off Webnovel is so much easier especially since it keeps track of where you left off. Unfortunately Webnovel has a 20k word / 100k character limit for each chapter so I had no choice but to chop up the chapters into parts.For those who also want to read this feel free. I am not taking someone else's work and passing them off as my own, full credit is given to the original writer, translators and editor as listed in the descriptions, plus the content of this novel is free online in multiple sources for everyone to read. Really good start! Can't wait to read more about Zayn and his back story. So far so good!Knowing Hide this novel is going to be a really good one.
The MC is ubsurdly obtuse. You can ignore it if you want and maybe it improves later but as of now it's a very grating read. The writing quality it also quite terrible with whole paragraphs being added that don't need to be there at all. An obvious ploy to inflate the word count. E.g. "Either he could stay here for eternity, or he could jump in the strange river and try to swim for an unknown amount of time. And now, the third option was available, which was to get in the boat and let the Spector take him."This is very early on and when you read this paragraph in context you'll see that absolutely nothing is added. In a way that's almost impressive. As I said maybe it gets better later but early on (~c17) it's just a bad read. As always there's much more that can be said but most of it is negative and you get the general jist.
Warning before you start readingThis story will probably take over 4000 chapters because most of the chapters are recycled old info which constantly change and fillers where the MC fights weak characters for 3 or more chapters when he could've finished them off in two linesPlus the author has a habit of forgetting abilities he gave the MC intentionally just to describe a battle as hard then he reremembers them after another 200 chaptersSo if you aren't absolutely bored and have no other story to read don't read this
