This is one of the apocalypse story that does not rely on romance. It's all about skill and talent and damn the MC is worth the wait. There might some grammar problems but you only notice it and does not alter the flow of your story. IMAGERY- I always get this when I read this story and well since it is my imagination the characters are all good looking hahahahaha To anyone who will come across this story give it a try and I assure you you'll get a nice but thrilling sequence of events.
Finally, the new novel from I Eat Tomatos is coming to webnovel. I'm looking forward to this masterpiece. ?#PositiveReview#SupportTranslator#SpecialReader#FinishTheBook#DontHiatus#GoodBook#HighQualityTranslationFollow my Tiktok : @douyin_land
This is one of the best books I have read in the genre Fast paced, but without really losing out charater development. The story and world-building are excellent, though world-building is a bit limited for reasons which will become apparent in the story. One of the book’s strength is that it heavily relies on your knowledge of various myths or tropes in order to ‘color in’ the world, but you can easily and blissfully ignore that and just go with the story. The MC is definitely OP, but again, the enemies he has certainly make him work for whatever he accomplishes. Highly recommended :-)
The pacing in these chapters is deliberately controlled, almost surgical. The author gives us Xie Wenyuan's two-day deliberation in a paragraph, then zooms in on the actual meeting scene and stretches it out with meticulous detail. This contrast is intentional—the long internal struggle compressed, the external action expanded. It tells us what matters: the moment of decision and its consequences. The chapter structure is built around three distinct scenes that escalate in intensity. First, the negotiation between Xie Wenyuan and Thirteen—tense, political, layered with unspoken threats. Second, the conversation between father and daughter—quieter but no less charged, because the power dynamics are so clearly established. Third, the unveiling at the Curio Pavilion—where Xie Qingyan transforms from a constrained daughter into a commanding business leader. Each scene ends on a note that propels us forward. Xie Wenyuan's ultimatum ends with "I agree!"—but the exclamation mark feels more like surrender than victory. The father-daughter scene ends with her curtsy, respectful yet distant—she's playing the obedient daughter while plotting her own path. And the final scene ends with Zhao Chengze's whispered question about her childhood, which reframes everything we've just seen as the beginning of something much larger. The author also uses Thirteen as a pacing device. He's the messenger, the enforcer, the cold voice of Master Zhou's will. His presence keeps the tension taut because we know he represents someone far more powerful than Xie Wenyuan. Every time he speaks, the stakes rise. And the final line—"As long as she could be brought out, that was enough. Meeting her could come later."—is a perfect hook. It tells us Zhao Chengze is playing the long game, and we're hooked into waiting for that meeting. The pacing never drags because every scene advances at least two things: the plot and the character dynamics. Even the business details about bamboo screens and glass counters serve the larger narrative of Xie Qingyan's competence and ambition.
Good novel
very nice.. Good work author.
More chapters please and thank you
just finish the book it is getting boring just to increase the number of chapters you are going to show another affair of odell. I think he should have learned his lesson the first time. if again he does the same then Sylvia should definitely leave him. once a cheater always a cheater
The tension is already high! The start is already better than I expected! Of course Ms Cassandra never disappoints .........
