It seems like the writing style might not resonate with everyone, but personally, the author tends to delve excessively into the main character's thoughts, with three to five paragraphs of introspection between every action. This often turns an action-packed sequence into a slow-paced, almost turn-based affair. Additionally, some details feel redundant; the same information is repeated multiple times, without offering any new insights. For instance, when facing Amethyst, the protagonist restates the importance of a sacred weapon three times, a point we've already been made aware of in the previous fifteen chapters or so.
Despite these observations, the overall story is engaging, and I would encourage you to give it a read.
