CRITICAL REVIEW Read 181 chaps; easy binge---------------------------------------------------I came for the Harem. Didn't get the shenanigans, but delightfully stayed for the story. I'm honestly surprised. It was actually quite good read. It can't be said to be sensational, nor a masterpiece, but in webnovel standards it's very high up imo. Probably within my top 8 on this site. As expected from an author who has done many successful books on this site. I've read one of his early books and the quality is so different from this book which surprised me. It's easy to read, it flows nicely, the story isn't complicated and quite straightforward. The improvement of his writing is clear as day. I'm lenient with giving stars, but this is an easy 5 stars. I barely hesitated to give it even if I'm soft.I also applaud the author for making the story not feel forced or a mess when you have these awesome moments where lots of characters become present in one scene. It's actually kinda hype! Another thing I appreciated was that the journey for the MC never goes smoothly especially pre 100 chapters. Characters in the story are well fleshed out for the most part, especially the main cast. It doesn't feel as if one has more development over the other which is great. Though Yovana could've been handled much better. I really wished there was better foreshadowing for what she brought to the story. I also wish we had a more heart to heart with her like the rest of the cast.If there is a need for improvement then it would definitely be Powers. When it comes to powers in the novels that's where the novel has its biggest weakness because it's vague and never explained in detail. However this story is more emphasised on the journey of the cast and its simple plot. Honestly detailed information of powers and being faithful isn't really necessary and the ambiguous power scaling and such really doesn't detract me from my reading at all with how THIS story is written.I hope this story does not go on for too long because this book would be best short. Moreover, despite being someone who loves happy endings, a bittersweet ending would be something to really consider even though it would be bitter. It may really upset alot of people, but honestly with what you have done. I think it can make the story really meaningful. I will probably even cry if it's done right. I am very happy to have read this story! I am very eager to read more and hope the quality doesn't drop because its 180 chaps in it's still quite good!Now this wouldn't be a review of mine if I didn't ship at the end of the review.Well honestly 180 chaps in there's hardly any romance which was surprising as I kinda came for the harem tag. But I love how the story turned out. Screw the harem nonsense! What's written already is lovely. I really fear that trying to add romantic drama or forced relationships will just taint the story. From what has occurred, their relationship still needs a long way to go (romantically) and it really needs to be fleshed out and treaded carefully. Their relationship after all is complex and complicated and the few wholesome scenes or rather better to say teetee (Japanese slang) is definitely not enough to be convincing and realistic. You have the capability! Don’t disappoint me!
