The Truth of Magic - Reviews

The story takes on a heavy dnd focus so if at any time your confused u can always look it up on Google. The story ad resurfaced on webnovel after a two year hiatus because it loss the voting poll, some of the translations are incorrect but it's not hard to follow if u have the patience to read through. From where I'm at in the story I can honestly say it's not a bad novel and would recommend to anyone that likes dnd or is at the very least interested in it.

Warning for new readers:

This novel takes a lot of time to build up, the first 100 chapters are only enough to help the reader understand the power system better. A lot of people accuse the start as fillers but it is extremely necessary for later plot so don't skip it.

Furthermore, the power system is taken from Pathfinder (a dnd game) so prepare for NUMBERS.

The first 60 chapters were nothing but constant exposition. It's one thing to introduce the world it's another thing to continue explaining everything every single chapter. Nothing notable so far just standard for the genre.

Its not anything new or unique but it gives the reader a feeling that its going somewhere and not just gonna drag on forever without ever concluding anything like some books on this platform

Haven't read it yet but aint the dude on the cover the same guy on the cover of Another World's Versatile Crafting Master. The background is different and they are facing different directions but i swear they're the same dude

I'm sleepy and I tried reading this and guess what this is the best book to make someone sleep!! the plot is very interesting but the explanations are too much it gets too boring..... will try to read again in the future but right now? NO thanks

The author's decision to have it be based on D&D is sas for the novel. Everything is pretty good except the save throws in a world that is supposed to bé close to reality.

Wow, this novel got dropped from trial read list pretty fast despite the support, while a certain other novel about a baron or something gets picked even faster without much of a support.

it's good book but the long explanation makes my brain hurt................................

The translation is bad, but not illegible, but the way its written makes reading this so tedious.

I generally despise the genre gamelit, systems, but give the fact that this was based on dnd I was keen to give it a try. Poor judgement on my part.

I'm on chapter 126 and reading this is as engaging and entertaining as passing a kidney stone with the size and shape of a spike marble.
