The Most Hated Person in the Noble Academy

Ji Shu, a woman suffering from severe PTSD and dissociative personality disorder, wakes up in the body of a fictional character from a romance novel she had read. In the story, "The Heroine's Character," she inhabits Ji Shu, a wealthy but vicious female supporting character who bullied the heroine, Ruan Si'an, in middle school. Now a student at the elite Flandre Noble Academy, the original character faces relentless persecution from the three male leads, including Lu Mingxi, the arrogant young duke, as retribution for her past actions. The novel's original Ji Shu ended her life by jumping from a rooftop the day before her entrance exams, an event Ji Shu witnesses in a vision upon transmigrating.

Immediately after waking, Ji Shu is subjected to humiliation by her classmates, who dump chalk powder on her head while mocking her. She is summoned to a storage room by Lu Mingxi, who intends to punish her further. Instead of cowering as the original character would, Ji Shu's trauma response triggers a violent outburst. She fights back against Lu Mingxi and his followers, beating the young duke until he loses consciousness. After waking in the hospital, Ji Shu discovers a system interface indicating only 2% of the plot has progressed. Realizing she cannot simply wait for her destined death, she decides to survive by enduring the bullying while secretly planning to transfer schools or study abroad. Lu Mingxi, refusing to let the matter drop, forces Ji Shu to kneel and submit to his control, adding her to his social media and demanding she obey his orders. He declares her his "dog," establishing a dynamic of dominance and submission that defines their early interactions.

Back at school, the bullying escalates. Ji Shu is drenched with water, her notes are ruined, and she is locked in a locker room during PE class. Rather than breaking down, she channels her anger into the dodgeball test. Defying the odds, she competes alone against multiple teams, displaying exceptional skill and ruthlessness. She wins every match, leaving her classmates and the student council president, Xie Zhoulin, stunned. Despite her victory, her physical condition deteriorates, and she collapses from fever and exhaustion. Xie Zhoulin carries her to the infirmary, noting her bruises and the strange calmness of her demeanor.

Ji Shu's home life offers no refuge. Her father, Ji Nanlin, is a cold, opportunistic man who cares only for social status and business connections. He berates her for causing trouble at school and reveals that his new wife is pregnant, further isolating Ji Shu. She realizes her family will not support her escape, forcing her to rely solely on herself. Meanwhile, Lu Mingxi continues to torment her through digital messages, ordering her to disrupt class and humiliate herself. Ji Shu complies outwardly to avoid worse punishment, all while maintaining a facade of indifference.

As the story progresses, Ji Shu navigates the treacherous social hierarchy of Flandre Academy. She encounters Chi Yaoxing, another male lead who observes her with quiet interest, and Xie Zhoulin, who seems conflicted about her situation. Despite the constant threats and physical abuse, Ji Shu begins to assert her agency. She excels academically, solving complex math problems in front of the class to silence her detractors. Her resilience unsettles Lu Mingxi, who finds himself increasingly fascinated by her refusal to break. The narrative sets the stage for a complex power struggle, as Ji Shu fights to survive in a world designed to destroy her, while the male leads grapple with their growing, complicated feelings toward her.
