I understand your frustration I would have the same if I didn't read the prequel and actually have the same as this story isn't with the same MC so I actually don't feel like reading it even tho a lot of things were left unsaid in the prequel. so I guess this story is frustrating for both people, the author probably wanted to satisfy both but at the end it was better to make two different stories.
