So yeah this is amazing! For some of you who don’t know Call of Cthulhu though it’ll be a little confusing. First let me explain how the dice works here, So basically it works like if your sanity in this example is 80 if you roll over 80 it’s a failure and if you roll lower it’s a success. Pretty easy right? Anyway some terms here are shortened so if you don’t know, you really don’t know. Here’s some words from the story: SC (Sanity Check), KP (Like Dungeon Keeper ya know in DnD), HP (Hitpoints, Health), APP (Appearance) and it goes on like this so you basically get it. Though there are special exceptions to the dice rules such as in the 2nd world which had it’s own things.

Anyway later on in the third world the MC gets a - 15 from the KL which means it adds 15 to whatever he rolls. Anyway the rest of it is based on how successful the rolls are and that’s how the story progresses. It’s like reading a Call of Cthulhu game instead of listening to one. It’s funny, exciting and a hell of a ride to read so I really hope that this gets chosen despite how low a chance that is. Hope you found the review informative and I hope you read and give some coins for it because it really does deserves some attention at least.

Despite promising myself Not to read trial novels again, Here I am against my better judgement,
Anyway, You will only get this game if you have played Board games like Dungeons And Dragons. But with immersive reality. Basically You are the player in an VRMMORPG but you can’t control your movements, But it’s decided by dice throw. I haven’t played those board games either so I am mot exactly clear about the concepts, I have just seen it being played sometimes. The translation is quite bad so it’s even more confusing.

First Chapter is about him doing first mission, “.Rd - 7” is dice throw. KP is a Dungeon Master, Basically they recount the story, Like how MC threw a 0 so his shotgun exploded. You can google Dungeons and Dragons to understand the concept better before reading.

Anyway I couldn’t continue because of the lack of clarification from the Translator and the almost MTL level quality of translation. Such a novel need so much info to understand what’s going on, Yet the Translators explained nothing.
A new concept to Gaming novels. I have no idea what bs the synopsis is even about.

It's a dungeons and dragon(DND) novel. Mc plays a game under Call of Cthulhu (CoC) settings which means it's the hardest difficulty. The turn off is how strictly they are making it DND with stat checks and dice rolls for every action. I couldn't recommend this unless you really like DND because it's not really immersive.

Translations are a bit rough, but despite that this is an interesting story that delves into Lovecraftian horror. At first, it appears to be your standard VRMMO type novel, but we slowly discover that not everything is as it appears and that certain characters that were previously seen as innocuous are much more sinister.

This, due to other Lovecraftian stories getting whacked from Trial Read, is a nice change of pace from the usual fare on this website and would probably appeal to the same demographic as Lord of Mysteries if not for the translation quality.

Its translations appear to be slightly higher than MTL and there are several terms that flag it as having been initially MTLed (using blood quantity instead of health for example). However, once you adjust to the translations, it is a lot more enjoyable.

Chances are pretty slim that it will be chosen however due to the initial chapters having subpar translation quality, but I believe this is one of the more thought provoking novels to come through Trial Reads since the initial purges.

I normally don’t take the time to write reviews for all the novels that I read, but this novel is significantly better than the 7 reviews indicate that it is. Additionally, given the number of worthy novels that had been dropped from Trial Reads recently, I felt it prudent to endorse a novel that is trying to be something different from the typical martial arts fare on this website.

I was not expecting a whole lot when starting this book. Especially because I know absolutely nothing about tabletop RPGs. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the story was captivating enough that I just binge read all 60 chapters on the first go. I was a bit confused at first but picked up how TRPG works in this novel soon enough.

I would recommend at least giving it a try, especially you are a fan of Lovecraftian stories like I am.

I'm too stupid to understand your world  , character design, background and situation of whole thing  , your MC looks like yours not our ,  i can't be connected to YOUR stroy or MC or his circumstances .

I enjoy thrillers, so this is the niche for me. Much like D&D, our MC plays in a virtual world where actions or instances are determined by dice rolls. This creates a refreshing feeling of suspense and horror as even the reader is worried and when the dice will unexpectedly roll. The characters could be a little more in depth, but that is fine with the fast plot pacing. A recommended read.

Sucks that I can't understand the first chapter, no explanation either, I even though there's something wrong with translation with those random letter like rd or kp and random numbers too, but as I read, Ive deduced that is must be a short word for something, but NOT EXPLAINED. Well maybe later on it will be explained, but first impression really matters, sucks that I don't understand, can't immerse myself to it.

The translator didn't even tried, he/she should've atleast capped those letters for easier guessing lmao, would've appreciated if there was an info chapter atleast
