The Ghostly Wife Arrives

Ling Yiran is a second-class ghost officer in the Underworld, responsible for night soul-snatching duties. Despite his low rank, he possesses cultivation that allows him to withstand sunlight, though prolonged exposure causes physical distress. His life is upended when he discovers he has been forced into a yin marriage with a living human male named Xing Han. The marriage was arranged by Ling Yiran’s descendant, Ling Zhen, a powerful feng shui master in the Ling family, using an ancient secret method that binds the two souls across the boundary of life and death. A key turning point occurs when Ling Yiran is mistakenly arrested by police who confuse him with a suspect from a previous case involving a cursed death at the same bar. As the story progresses, Ling Yiran stays with the Ling family, bonding with his great-nephew Ling Zhen, who regrets arranging the marriage. Ling Yiran begins to accept his new reality, exploring his heritage and the room his father left for him. Meanwhile, Xing Han grows closer to Ling Yiran, unaware that his partner is a ghost. The narrative follows their developing relationship as they navigate the obstacles of their disparate worlds, with Ling Yiran balancing his duties as a ghost officer with his growing attachment to Xing Han.
