This novel is a real gem ?. In this dystopian modern world, countries war with none mass destruction weapons. The protagonist Alex has grown up on the battlefield to be an S rank mercenary. Due to his father’s injury Alex retires with him to civilian life. The story revolves around Alex’s climatization to high school life and the drama ? of being a teenager. That “drama” includes plenty of combat and action in and out of school, for Alex and the “Mercenary Club” they form.

I like this story a lot hopefully it continues. Simply because of how fun is to imagine going into manga and novels to alter them. I also quite like the MC sure she is ordinary at the moment, but with her ability she'll become extraordinary. Since I already like the MC it's gonna be hard to find a flaw in her form me at least. With my rambling done. I only read up to chapter 21, but I'm not planning on updating this review. Unless I end up really really hating it later. In short I only wrote this to rate 5 stars.

This book has very good writing, a unique story, the characters seem pretty good so far and I like the pacing. So far this seems like it will be on my list of really good Webnovel’s and if it ever costs spirit stones to unlock chapters I’ll pay for every single one. Hope this author gets support for his works and gets more recognition as he clearly puts in work to make his idea’s and execute them. A lot of stories and art today are just words and cliche but it’s stories like this that evoke the imagination that I consider to truly be a work of art. The story has only 50 chapters so far but I’m giving such a good review because this story has a good foundation and the author clearly loves it enough for me to have faith that it will continue to be good. I have depression and there’s not very many things I enjoy and so I have to thank this author for his passion.

Shocked to find a hidden gem here. Kind of reminded me "Mother of Learning" with the modern times DnD-like setting. For those who are tired up of recent cliché and copycats tide, this is rare good change.

This should continue to be translated because it shows us how modern society would react if cultivation was merging with it and it also shows the personal struggles of the characters as well as the an mc who does not have plot armour like other novels.

I really tried to give this story a chance but after struggling to read ten chapters I'll have to drop it. Yes the obvious bot reviews are bad (but that's just playing the game, I get it) but the author might need some classes about writing stories. The story is written sometimes like a Theatre play wright,(basic positioning of things and basic speech lines);then like a normal light novel with proper scenery description and conversations, character descriptions (angry, sad, shocked, etc,) edit: these parts feel like other Stories and their given similar scenes;and then everything is thrown out the window and it's a vomit of speech lines- "
