Extremely naive protagonist. Helps out strangers, only to recieve scorn and contempt in return. Once a 'Heavenly Beauty' even threatened to kill the MC for saving her. All because she doesn't like to 'owe anyone anything.' MC of course is quick to forgive. Oddly enough the MC isn't nearly as forgiving to other men. How odd indeed!Don't expect any type of character growth, the MC in chapter 1 is the exact same as the MC in chapter 1000.Final verdict: Average novel if you don't mind your MC's having a hero-complex.

While I do like this kind of novel you can tell the author is bad about desperately trying to reach a word count. For example they will make a statement about the effects on a weapon and then make the same statement 4 or 5 more times as if to emphasize their point.

Random review from the author to tell you what to expect.Indiscriminate killing.Killing of children.Deliberately building sympathy for a character only to kill them.Zero ‘xianxia’ clichés.Schemeing and explanation.Short and sweet fight scenes, no ten-chapter fight scenes.No “friend to the rescue!”Cynicism, lots of cynicism.Cruelty.Insanity.And much more. If you're interested from reading this, you've finally found the novel of your dreams.
