Remember the first queen(China in this world) he chose was rash and be was loyal to her and sacrifices every for her and give her a chances. Next queen used him as a breeding tool and he still like her(also china in the world). Third empress which appear a chapter after this(chap 41) just manipulate people to stay in power and actually have some ability. He humiliates her…(South Korea in this world)

I thought the prontagonist will be female, based on the cover. Well the problem is the slow release, personally i kinda like how the story goes cause gunslinger characters are pretty rare
