I have been waiting for this novel for a long time

Average translation, horrible editing. In specific, the capitalization, uniformity, text spacing was terrible. The stat screen and all of the ‘system’ stuff was just a mess to look at.

The author can’t do simple arithmetic (what’s new), the novel is underwhelming, and for someone who knows hardly anything about DND, this novel just seemed like a bunch of gibberish.

The TL says that anyone can enjoy it regulars less of whether they know DND or not, but it’s clearly not the case. Most of the text is just info drops or assumes you know DND knowledge.

I don’t feel like spending my time writing a more thorough review for such an underwhelming novel.

tl;dr: terrible novel for non-DND enthusiasts (probably still bad for DND enthusiasts because the author/TL got fundamental DND stuff wrong according to commenters)

This novels is quite different from most novels, but it is a good and fun read. Without a doubt one of the better novels among the current “what’s new” novels on the side. It’s light hearted and contains a good bit of comedy.

So all I want to say is:
If you want an extremely serious novel, with a dark mood, where the main character has to overcome countless obstacles to reach the top, this novel might not be for you.

If you want a good and light hearted novel, that is well written and brings a few laughs, try it out.

Very low quality. Not very interesting and it wants to make people laugh to hard.
