Reborn into a ’70s Drama: I’m Done Being the Tragic Heroine

Jiang Wanwan, a modern college graduate, dies from a heart attack after becoming enraged by the tragic plot of a period melodrama. She transmigrates into the body of Jiang Huiwan, the novel's protagonist, who is destined to suffer a miserable life. The original Jiang Huiwan was emotionally abused by her mother, Jiang Lan, who resented her for resembling her abandoned father. To escape the harassment of a local troublemaker named Shen Sanqian, Jiang Lan forced her daughter to sign up for the sent-down youth program, sending her to the Great Northern Wilderness. There, Jiang Huiwan was framed by a rival, married a lazy man, and endured years of hardship before a bittersweet reunion with her true love, Qi Hu, ended in further tragedy. Jiang Wanwan, possessing a modern mindset, refuses to accept this fate. She discovers she has less than a month before the program departs and realizes she must alter the course of events to survive.
