A refreshing genre for qidian novel, this novel revolved around Jack, an abused kid going for lifetime adventure, meeting foster parents, played awesome baseball, when I say adventure its nothing to do with sword or dragon literally, however compare than facing this types of challenge, Jack story is kind of heartwarming, sad, happy, bewilderedly, and all types of emotion flavours, I kind of love it. I give five star just for Jack braveness and wimpyness.. Guys read it, it will not waste your time.

I have read the MLT version of this story and it was just extremely generic. The guy stays in the library, saves the clan, teaches two little girls secretly(I don't know what his obsession with teaching little girls is) but ya overall it was meh. It's like a copy and paste of all the other sign-in novels.

The progression is super monotonous and distasteful. Everything goes according to the mc. There is no tension, no conflict , no arguments, no learning path. no challenges. Even if the MC is a reincarnation of an old guy with vast experience, you can make his speech, his thoughts clash with modern day rules and trends. His walk could have been made criticized. If everything goes right it stops being believable. Always try to retain small blemishes in character. It will bring more depth to character. Side characters come and go and everyone has the same relationship with MC. All the side characters only say the things that are necessary for the story to proceed . Nothing more , nothing less. They don't have any personal gimmicks, habits, features that can separate one another. In my mind all of them may look the same, it will not matter. The plot progression is so summary like that everytime I read a chapter I want to stop then and there.

Only major great positive thing about this that makes this story standout is the MC is willingness to kill and slaughter which comes from his thirst for justice.Great concept the system is amazing but the system never shows up after the first few times… on chapter 38 rn… I’m sure it gets better if there’s more chapters in the future but right now there’s nothing…. there are a few plot holes in the beginning and it’s really annoying. Also mc reveals his identity almost right away to all corrupt cops and the people behind everything…. he doesn’t use his abilities when obviously there is a corrupt official in front of him. He doesn’t use his ability to uncover it right away, which is a major plot hole… the answers right in front of him, but he refuses to see it even when he does. He is still an idiot about how it plays out. I really question if he’s an actual detective or not. Any plot on him finding anything out or thinking for himself is now just bullshit to me. He uses his ability to uncover everything now which just further makes this more stupid. I’m guessing the author thought it would be a good plot idea for close to the end or something but it’s not like he’s going to do anything, even knowing if his bosses boss, the chief is corrupted or not. In fact, it’s pretty obvious that he is or one of the chief bosses is….. Writting quality is really good though yes it has some other elements in it but if you overlook it, it’s a solid work. Things get kind of slow once the second part when he moves to a new city comes in, but I’m sure they’ll pick back up again. Maybe the system will actually turn on. Or he’ll actually start making a real difference. I was hoping MC would kill about 100 to 1000 people once he entered the city. By the time he lives the city, I want 10,000 dead if not, I’m gonna say he was overhyped and stupid.Basically, he wasted the power he was given to this point. Not fully but like he could’ve done more and he makes it so big that he needs to spend every second striving for justice. All I see is him letting corrupt officials go until he is forced to kill them. Almost all of the answers he would’ve wanted could’ve been a tamed by shaking his Chiefs hand, which he refuses to do, even though he’s been in a few meetings with him many times as well as being sent to another department, which could’ve given him the opportunity to shaken his hand… in fact it’s pretty weird he didn’t because that’s how it normally works. When you leave a department you say thank you to your boss and say it was a pleasure working with you…. To me, this is a major pothole with the amount of times he’s met the chief….. Overall, this is a good story, decent plot and a cool MC… I apologize for how hard I am on this but I had high expectations. It is a good story, which I recommend people just don’t expect anything amazing right away or for a while as I expect things to be dragged out in the future. Right now, the pacing is pretty good and the storyline is good. 1-38 is solid.
