Good read so far. The update pacing is also good although the chapters are a bit on the small side.

The beginning was good/interesting but the further you read the more tedious it gets. Its not the worst I read but also nothing good. "Meh" would be the best assessment.

I read to the current chaps (21) and the last 5 were hard for me to read since everything is just either dumb or contradictory. The main problem for me is that there is NO harem in the story. While I like slow burn novels, this one is a glacier.

What makes it worse is the MC and his weird shift of personality when he starts to simp one of the girls in the story.

"Picking Up Useless Girls in Apocalypse" is a thought-provoking novel that explores the resilience, camaraderie, and dark humor amidst the chaos of a post-apocalyptic world. The title itself invites readers to question societal norms and the meaning of value in extreme circumstances. The story follows a protagonist who, in a world where survival is the ultimate challenge, finds solace and purpose by rescuing and protecting seemingly "useless" women.

The author deftly weaves a narrative that delves into themes of morality, humanity, and the power of empathy. As the characters navigate a dystopian landscape, their interactions showcase the complexities of relationships and the strength that can arise from vulnerability. The novel doesn't shy away from the harsh realities of the apocalypse but also finds moments of levity, offering a poignant reminder of the importance of hope and connection even in the darkest times.

This book encourages readers to reconsider what it means to be "useful" and challenges our preconceived notions of strength and worth. It's a captivating blend of action, drama, and introspection, reminding us that sometimes, in the face of adversity, the most useless acts can be the most meaningful. Overall, "Picking Up Useless Girls in Apocalypse" is a compelling read that touches on the human spirit's capacity for growth and compassion, even in the face of unimaginable odds.
