However, the scent of blooming lilies triggers memories of her past life, grounding her in the present and giving her the will to endure. She shifts from passive resignation to strategic action, realizing that her marriage is a tool of imperial policy to secure the Qing dynasty's northern borders. She analyzes the political implications of the union, understanding that her value lies in her ability to serve as a cultural and political bridge between the Manchu court and the Mongol tribes. Seeking information, she approaches her younger brother, the Fifth Prince, who connects her with Celeng, a Khalkha noble educated in the capital. Through Celeng, Muxue gains detailed knowledge of Mongolian geography, customs, and the character of her prospective husband.

Muxue’s transformation becomes evident when she proactively seeks an audience with Emperor Kangxi. Rather than accepting her fate silently, she petitions for the construction of a permanent princess’s residence in Guihua City, a strategic hub in the region. She argues that a fixed residence will serve as a stable base for Qing influence, facilitate trade, and allow her to better manage the affairs of the Tüsheet Khanate. Kangxi, impressed by her insight and courage, grants her request and bestows upon her the four-character maxim: "Dare to Think, Dare to Act." Dorji, perceptive and respectful, accepts her boundary, claiming he was merely drunk, and gifts her his mother’s silver knife as a token of his commitment. He asserts his confidence in winning her affection, declaring himself the most worthy man on the grasslands. Muxue, now armed with knowledge and a newfound resolve, prepares to navigate the challenges of life in Mobei, determined to carve out a space of her own in a foreign land.
