Summary

Junlin Mansion is described as having an "empty living room" and later the corridor is "pitch black." The house is as hollow as she is. Then there's the guest room. She's been sleeping there because of her period, but really she's sleeping there because she can't bear to be in the master bedroom—the room where she's witnessed betrayal, where her marriage is supposed to be intimate but is instead a site of her humiliation.
