Holy sht, the beginning hit me smack in the face. Just setting the stage made me pause to digest it. It scares me how much books can convey about the depth of human nature and all of it's cruelty. Love the direction it's going so far, and despite how much MC looks like she's fumbling; I think she's totally badass. Can't wait to see how the book ends.
