This victory confirms his magical capabilities and provides him with wolf fangs, which he commissions from a reclusive half-dwarf blacksmith named Tiemuqi to be crafted into curved blades.
Lai Yi also establishes connections with his neighbors, particularly the Haggard family, who have been supportive since his parents' death. He sends Neil back to school, ensuring the boy receives an education while Lai Yi focuses on earning income. He visits Rosen Town, the nearest urban center, where he tests his magical aptitude at the Mage Association, discovering he is a Level 3 Wood-element magician with Intermediate Level 2 potential.
