This novel is not what I expected, and I've only read 10 chapters (which also means this review doesn't have any spoilers past what could already be inferred from the synopsis).
First off, writing quality - the language is sophisticated but readable, with vivid descriptions. It has a natural flow that quite literally had me raving out loud about it - I'm a sucker for good quality writing.
Story development, I can't say much about for the time being, similar with update consistency, but I've given them 5 stars because if this novel continues as it is now, it is absolutely deserving of them.
The character design struck me from the first chapter, because it feels genuine!
The dialogue is natural, the actions seem as though a real person might make them. Sure, there's occasionaly what I'd consider a 'movie action' which is slightly more... cheesy than what would be real, but the most important thing is that it doesn't break the immersion.
Finally, the world building is disgustingly good. Mixture of ancient and modern settings... this is an incredible story! I'm honestly enamoured by it, so kudos to the author! You've done amazing
