Been reading this on another website since it first came out and in my opinion it's one of Skeleton Wizard's best works. While its very cliche and the MC is still super OP, the story differs from his other stories (Tempest of the Battlefield and Tempest of the Stellar War) in that the story progression is slower and the MC is more low key. What I am trying to say is that the story is more detailed than his usual and I feel like the combat is more complex/interesting.
Quinn flinched. He had always been a loner back on earth, and his existence in this world was so unique that it was highly doubtful that he would ever find anything like a mate. Thus, this word triggered a long-unprovoked reflex.
Closing the door behind her, she pressed her hand up against it for a moment, collecting her thoughts before saying, "I don't know if they told you, but we've had aroughcouple days."
Pretty much a bad novel with somewhat false advertising (I’ve seen lots of ppl saying the ‘’great change’’ happens by chapter 42 so I’d reco mmend starting there. What the author has probably been trying to do is to justify the mc’s future actions which is very cowardly and will greatly limit this story’s potential. Just don’t expect much and start reading at ch 42
If you're looking for the perfect mystery novel then this is the one! It literally takes me on a rollercoaster ride of emotions as the characters face impossible odds and discover hidden strengths within themselves. With complex characters, vivid world building and a rich plot that keeps you guessing. I especially love the clip hangers at the end of each chapter and the chapter titles. I just love it!
