I'm not gonna speak about Carol because let's he honest, she's a generic female lead. I am, however, going to talk about the supporting characters of the book and how well written they all are. Axel is a young man trying to make ends meet while trying to protect his family from his father while his mother refused to leave him because that's what abused women go through, assuming that their abuser loves them when they don't. This series does such a great job at creating and writing characters that won't only captivate you, but will also relate to everyday life.
