I gave it a try because the reviews were like a cult following, so how could i not? The MC is dumb doing a dumb thing, simple as that. I was curious how the cultivation world would look like if you were a fisherman but he is the BEST. You take lightly of the statement when reading it since you probably had a hunch it’d end up the way it did but you had a hope that not everyone would be a fisherman. Anyways right out the gate everyone are children who compete like cultivators through fishing. There is so much in the story you have to just assume or not everything will be okay. Check it out, a lot of people like it for some reason so it must be me who didn’t understand its charm.

i would say hes well rounded, he has his moments that can fit that but they aren't usually too bad

Brain dead MC with an indestructible plot armor.
People says don't go more than 3 meters deep (because its very dangerous) but he does anyway.
Butts in to other peoples business for no reason and the only thing he gains is enemy.
Has an opportunity to learn skills ; he chooses the books based on their names. Not even opening the book to check out the descriptions or anything.
Not to mention author making mc's soul beast look like a joke so that others can mock him.
OH and mc never questions about the world he lives in, techniques that he's using.(If you don't know, ask your teacher... smh)

Patently unique world, interesting spin on usual cultivation and system novel. Highly recommended to read. Very interesting water world, floating town environment.

This is a pure adventure cultivation novel. The world is definitely not as simple as it seems. Beyond the training fisheries under the control of towns and cities lies a vast uncharted grounds - the endless seas. Most of which remains obscure this novel is a box of secrets ... there are secrets and mysteries waiting to be uncovered .

What happened 30 years ago, what happened in the distant past and how that affects the present and directs the future. The humor is well done, especially mc and his antics ...

One of the best FML in a chinese novel so far, she is lively cute independent and dangerous. she may prolly be the only female lead who likes to attack mc for no reason at all ... (mc is a body refiner and his defence is op, the fml likes to puncture mc with her dagger) But can only pierce like an inch due to his op defence , she never gives up even after they become couple ... when mc asks why - she says because she likes how the dagger stabs the flesh.

Both the MC and FML like fighting and robbing.

The author has taken some inspirations from DD1, OP, etc

Really good read!
Give it a try, it's about cultivating in a very interesting world where fishermen ( the whole society) are cultivators.
The world building is fascinating and the characters are well developed.
Hope it will get picked fast.

Mediocre.
The concept was interesting. But the execution was very bad.
MC is pathetic and un-likable.
The characters are not developed at all.
World-building is sub-par at best.
The main flaw is the MC. He does not have any intelligence at all. And only survived till now due to plot armor. His behaviour is like a child who found a new toy.
