i hope autor san and editor kun will do their best to turn this novel into a great work, because it has the potential to be one, even if it is a bit of a cliché

By the time humans decided to start using pesticide to stop these ash beetle, 1 in every 10 ash trees was dead or going to die. (Only in this region of land)
