Farming For Gold - Reviews

I wrote this story because there's a lack of good LitRPG stories about crafters. Authors come up with these great worlds then only focus on a single charter and quest line who spends most of his time out in the world raiding various dungeons while ignoring most of the game world.

I wanted to create a story where the focus is on the MC's crafting profession and how he uses it to gain power rather than him getting some epic rare quest and wandering off to magically became a fighter. I want the other guilds and players to have their own motivations and be more than just names who's only goal seems to be to capture or kill the MC.

I want this story to be about farming and guild politics rather than high-adventure. It'll take a while to hit it's stride but I hope everyone will be happy when it does.

I feel like this is what Bringing the Farm to Live in Another World should have been.  I have read a few books that supposedly focus on crafting, mining, or farming but that focus is usually lackluster at best.  Combat and mass battles seem to come in all too often.  This book does a very nice job of staying focused and interesting.  The characters feel real and the story is solid.  I really look forward to every new chapter.

If there was one thing that stands out a bit, the MC seems to make sudden jumps in social competence occaisionally.  He originally is described as unsocial almost to the point of autistic but by chapter 11 he seems to be a very well adjusted, socially adept individual. He goes from so dense that he never thinks of his childhood friend as anything but a friend to suavely hitting on her in no time flat.  I was glad to avoid the cringe but it felt unexpected given the initial description of the character.

This story is amazingly well written.  Plot progression makes sense.  The main character isn't overpowered.  And the experience grind takes into account the players class.  

There is just enough real-world mix with the virtual world to keep you invested in both lives.  And the player is smart.  He makes choices that make sense.  And although he has the luck that most Main characters have, it isn't so overpowering to be unbelievable.  

There is a logic and progression to this story that makes me glad I decided to give this novel a chance.

That said, I almost didn't simply because of the cover.  I know you shouldn't judge a book by its cover, but this one really needs a re-design!

Give it a try it is honestly one of the novels i wait every week to read if the author could put out at least two a week i would probably give it 5 Stars.

This is my first review . I am very impressed with the quality of the story. Keep doing good job with this and it will be great if you can make 2 chapters a week.

Book hasn’t been updated in three weeks and no notification from the author. Beware reading, as this may have been dropped.

It’s otherwise good, with only occasional spelling and grammar issues. But why start a story that has no ending, no resolution?

honestly a amazing book that I look back on quite frequently hoping for a update. I always think to myself while going through this site that the great books like these with such potential always get cut down short. Author, if you read this, know that your fan base while now few in number, still exist. I will maintain this book in my list, waiting for the day it hopefully updates.

So far it is developing nicely. MC is not a OP and is in fact a weaker nerdier kind of boy. But he has smarts and is resourceful. Looking forward to how he he will be by chapter 30.

Over 2 months without any update or news from the author, so if you really wanna read this check before if the story is continued.

This novel was pretty good and fun too read but until there are more chapter not worth it

I absolutely love this novel, so many VRMMO Game novels focus on an amazing OP MC who is out adventuring desperately for some goal while also for some reason fighting against the rest of the world. This novel however changes it up, the MC develops evenly both in and out of the game, there's just the right amount of RL screen time for it to be relevant without feeling like the VR side is the whole novel. The MC isn't some broken character who can fight hundreds of other players because of something he conveniently got earlier on (cough cough plot armour). Instead the MC can barely even keep himself alive if he gets in trouble because well, he's a crafting class not a combat class. The in game politics actually makes sense while also showing that the MC doesn't understand it too well since he's still acting like a solo player, at least at the current latest chapter. The author has done a really good job taking the craft of farming and presenting it in an interesting way that makes for a great read. Another great thing is that the chapters are really long so don't let the low chapter numbers fool you.

Overall this is an amazing novel and I can guarantee it will blow up like crazy soon, all I can say is I'm addicted and can't wait for more!

The best novel about agriculture class in this site, the story is very consistent, have a nice descripitions about the mc's and the game. this is all of i thinking now,
