After reading the first few chapters, I can say that there's only one big flaw in this novel: there's not enough of it yet! :) The premise is original and has the potential to deliver tons of fun. The writing is great, the characters are compelling and interesting, and the protagonist has a very humorous personality. What I appreciate the most is that every colonist has a flaw that makes their future intriguing, especially Kat with her impeccable flat face-fu.  Then, as a former gamer myself, I can't help to appreciate the "Permadeath" setting. As gamers know, the most unforgiving games are the most exciting ones! This one detail gives the story stakes and makes you appreciate every moment so much more. Overall, I'll be adding this book to my library and definitely returning to it when there are more chapters available. Great job, author!

Enjoyable read however, people may get turned off from the beginning. MC has problems with his slavery and mate pairing to an unlikeable character(not main FMC). This is only prominent within the first volume and even after 20 chapters from the start, it lessens a considerable amount and was quite tolerable. The mate idea so far is a subplot to many different characters and doesn't entirely effect MC's decision making. It is well worth it to push onto Vol 2 and 3.*For people who don't like her, she hasn't been the main focus nor frequently appearing in vol 2 and 3.*  The story itself is well written and fight scenes are good. There is a lot of gore and dark elements in the story. World building is slowly built and explained through conversations. There's not much info dumping if any. Some POV changes but not much for people who don't like them still good providing other characters thoughts.Characters are good, some are unlikeable, and unredeemable while you have there counterparts. Variety of different characters and people actually die for their own choices and actions. There are consequences even for the MC. The MC himself is naïve and curious about the world considering his whole life has been in a coliseum. He makes mistakes and learns from them. A story of his journey and self discovery would definitely recommend, well deserved rating.

After hearing the natives can give quest I got really excited and ask my dad all about it. Turns out not only the native can give you a quest. Even a player can give one if they gave an equal amount of rewards.

The real use for [Spores] was not to kill people. Who would be so foolish as to stand still and let the spores take root on their bodies? The main purpose for these spores was to break down corpses. There are some special monsters that would turn into zombies when they die, or resurrect again with several conditions. For example, the monsters in Water Category and Fire Category could be resurrected under a summoner's special skill.

This is a brilliant piece of literature that I would recommend to even the snobbiest of readers. The MC is not a whiny little b*tch that rolls over for anyone, and is instead the most conniving and cunning person in this entire novel. I love the stupidity shown as well, it is perfectly portrayed and had me laughing at all the right times. But explaining would be spoiling. So instead, go ahead and read this novel in all of it's glory.
