I don't understand half of what I'm reading, its too cryptic. It's a mix of old English and wrong statements I don't understand. Translator should work on the grammar

I don't really know the story well because of the translation quality of this novel, sometime a bit better than MTL and sometimes worst than MTL. Just from what i understand it is above average, MC is okay he understands what he needs to do and how to be low-key, the plot is force especially with his love interest i think there will be harem and not a good one. For the enemies i have high hopes they don't send weakling to kill MC but hates that plot armor in the beginning.. Hope they re translate this because it has no little chance to get pick with this quality

Having seen the negative comments on the title, I had to know what was so bad. It seems that either the translators have fixed the issue, or the previous reviews were completely wrong. The translation quality is fairly good. Story wise, it seems to flow like a ballad of sorts, like any traditional Chinese novel. Interesting story. Will continue to read.

The translation is horrible. The words make this story truly hard to read - idk what was going through the authors/translator’s minds. The plot still has potential though. I just hope the mc doesn’t run back like an naive idiot to his family after he gains power. It would seem extremely shallow of him to to try and become head of a family in which literally EVERYONE ostracized him and had absolutely no pity or love for him after he was exiled. Even during his father’s burying everyone badmouthed him.

Seems readable now. I remember it was quite different when I came across this last week. A good change at least. The story's interesting. Gone are obnoxious young lads! Looking forward for future chapters.

Decided to give this story a try since the reviews seemed to be mixed. It doesn't seem too bad despite the questionable characters at times and the translation itself is readable, even though the style leaves something to be desired. However, I do think it deserves more credit than most of the negative comments would suggest.

What looks to be a good story, unfortunately the translation makes it almost incomprehensible. Not for individual paragraphs, the actual English isn't too bad, rather it's like the story is missing the connecting narrative. There are aspects which don't get explained and story elements dropped in out of nowhere. The relationships are hard to understand and the motives are even more filled with gaps or what I'm assuming would be social cues or language which haven't been filled in.

I think the original story could have a lot of potential, but it is let down by the translation

Wow boring that i cannot focus half a paragraph droping it .i dont recommend people who enjoy reading modern ln .mayb people like it whatever but this wasted so much of my time i could have found a good ln to enjoy this ln couldnt be read and booring

The cryptic undertone makes the story interesting. But I have to agree, translation from Chinese fantasy to English makes it much more challenging. Overall a good book to pick up! Hope future chapters gets better!!! To be honest, I saw the harem coming from a mile away
