With its start out on hfy for me I was hooked. The character development and world building is some of the best I've ever read. to not give this story a read is a disservice to ones own curiosity and dare I say humanity.

One of the best stories I’ve picked up! Consistent update schedules and consistent quality makes it extremely easy to read, especially if you binge all the volumes, and leaves you wanting chapters even sooner. The way the story twists and turns at points leaves you wondering what happens next, and you find yourself on the edge of your seat in anticipation for what will come. For me, even the most mundane and calm chapters leaves me excited to see the next. Be sure to read the author’s notes!

Cheers!

Phenomenal story with excellent characters placed in a fun world. If I had to pick an issue, and I'm reaching here, it would be that the story inconsistently decides what genre it is. Sometimes it is a slice-of-life story, other times it is high fantasy, and occasionally wants to be a young adult novel. Despite this truthfully small issue, the story is one I'd recommend to any and all.

I mainly read this on r/HFY. It's one of my favorite stories, it even managed to sucker me into reading a genre I normally don't (and liking it to boot!). The world building is good, and doesn't stray away from darker topics like slavery. The characters grow naturally and the relationships between characters seem dynamic and natural. All in all it's a great story, and we shall watch this story's career with great interest.

How… just… how…

The author somehow made the best reincarnation story out there, and it isn’t #1! This is a crime against the human race.

All jokes aside, I read this novel in a few days, less so if I didn’t have college. It literally consumed my life up until I caught up. Do yourself a favor and read this thing right now.

P.S author: I would so buy this as a physical book series. Hire a(n) artist(s), update the cover art/character art, and profit (if you haven’t already, I’m writing this almost immediately after finishing chapter 122).

Welcome to Deathworld commando. Join our boy on a wonderful journey to answer age old questions. What are emotions, how do I make friends, is this all a simulation.

It gets dark.

It gets cute.

Mostly we get a protag who is denser Than the heart of a dead star.

I wasn’t there for the beginning but when I started reading I fell in love with it. It is in my top 5 favorite stories of all time, topping most of the books I’ve read.

Generally great quality, good dialogue and 3 dimensional personalities.  The author makes an effort to have past events affect future characteristics which improves continuity.

I found this story on Reddit and have followed it over to ko-fi cause I needed more chapters. Thank you Rangerfrank for an amazing story and a world that I’ve fallen in love with.

I've been following along with this story on reddit since shortly after it began, the all-around quality started off strong and has only gotten better, and it's up there with the most consistently posted of the dozens of stories I follow (the author takes the occasional break, but we get a heads up well in advance). If you enjoy fantasy that doesn't jump the shark, is willing to delve into dark topics (but not to an exaggerated or uncomfortable degree) and has excellent character and plot progression (the pacing really is superb) then be sure to give this story a chance.
