got baited to read this because of all the good reviews complimenting the writing quality and mc intelligence.
What i found when I read the story was an extremely perverted mc and author (like all female monsters are beauties for some reason and mc keeps making sexual comments about every female he meets even his sister).

In a word; Excellent! The story is basically a detective story set in ancient times but with Qi and supernatural powers. The normal tropes of transmigrator with good luck and using modern thinking to get ahead are there but the MC has no system and starts as a low-level martial artist with no way to easily improve. He need to use his brain, and the novel is better for it. Excellent!

I though they were lying when they said it was good. I read till chapter 20 and so far, its good. The only this i dont like is him writing the Diary. He even put in the fact that he was reincarnated, just worry someone might find is diary

This is one of the top books on the whole Webnovel. Judging the quality of the first forty chapters, it's comparable to "My senior brother is too steady". It would be a great loss if it won't be chosen

hope this gets picked up because the MTL is really rough lmao...

stuff like "I'm Actually a Cultivation Bigshot", "I Can Track Everything", and even "I'm Really Not Targeting the Mages" from this trial read batch were all pretty readable with google translate - but this one I could only get ~25 chapters into before starting to lose track of things

so I'm glad it got 40 chapters of official translation; would be really nice if it could get more

it's a good book overall ...but why does the translation quality drop from chapter 40 onwards...it's really annoying...can't enjoy a good read anymore
