Luisen searches for an enigmatic saint who showed him mercy during his final moments, leaving us in the dark about the saint's identity. This story doesn't shy away from challenges, and witnessing the characters' growth and resilience in the face of adversity makes for a rewarding read.

I absolutely adored the story; it was so captivating that I couldn't put it down. I initially discovered it through the manhwa, and it does an excellent job of staying true to the original novel. I'm eagerly anticipating the release of the side stories to continue my journey with Luisen and Carlton!

I believe the predictability is on point. I do appreciate how the main character (MC) improves significantly after his second transformation. However, I am not fond of the ML's character traits – he comes across as arrogant, bloodthirsty, confused, and almost reckless. Given their interactions and the current dynamic, it seems nearly impossible for a positive relationship to develop between them.

This might sound a bit overused, but I genuinely appreciate it. The story is still in its early stages, so the future events are uncertain. However, the interactions between the main character (MC) and the love interest (ML) are incredibly adorable. It tickles me when the MC's background as a beggar subtly affects his actions, leading others to perceive him as slightly eccentric. I have a soft spot for the MC's charming personality; he's truly a kind-hearted individual.

His eating disorder as a coping mechanism seemed disconnected from his background as a long-standing figure with a privileged upbringing. The plot point where he resorts to prostitution for sustenance disrupted the flow, as it doesn't fit the established character arc for someone of his stature. A universal plant could have easily avoided such a scenario, and someone with such a history wouldn't typically find success in a second chance, often leading to darker paths.

Furthermore, I believe the MC's character could have been portrayed as more than just intelligent, but also emotionally detached. It's possible that rather than being stupid, everyone else's assistance made things easy for him. If he were truly naive, he wouldn't have navigated his second life so effectively. The complex relationship with the Usaki and the emotional toll it took on him should have been more prominent. There should have been a deeper exploration of the protagonist's motivations and psychological underpinnings.

While I appreciate the overall quality of the story, my critique is aimed at refining it for perfection. Even without addressing these points, the tale remains enjoyable.

I gave this 5 stars because it truly deserves it. This is my first time giving a novel a perfect rating, despite being a reader for five years. The reason is that, while nothing is perfect, this one stands out. The portrayal of human imperfections in this novel is so authentic that it feels like a flawless masterpiece. I can honestly call it the best book I've ever read. I doubt I'll find another that matches this level of excellence.

This scenario reminds me of those villainess romance plots, but with a twist: a male/female (BL) relationship.

The main character (MC) can be quite irksome, as it's believable that they might retain their fears and personality traits from their previous life.
