Novel reminds me of a rpg where the random enemy encounter is so high that you get into a fight every 5 steps as you explore. Mc is attracting too much conflict and not permanently solving them, as of chap20 he has killed 0 and more arrogant young masters and mistresses are popping out. Mc goes shopping - gets into a fight for powder, mc goes to a meeting in a mask - gets into a fight to prove his prowess, mc stays home to look after alchemy store - gets into a fight from family thieves, mc walks passed 2 people fighting - girl attacks him for looking and accidentally touching her hand...This novel is generic and there's something missing that will keep you turning to the next chapter and keep reading pass midnight even though you have go to work the next day.I think that there should be a discussion/comment section where people can talk about the new releases while they're still voting. (if there is point it out please, the next 2 new novels are neck to neck and i prefer to know more info before voting). People are voting blind and i voted for this novel based on the cool picture, so not happy with this carp slipping into the net and cant be thrown back.

I very much enjoy the world and the mystery of magic and the MC trying to figure out how it works, but I find myself frequently frustrated by the stupidity of the MC. Also his simping and beta willingness to always take a back seat is not my cup of tea. He falls in love with an NPC. what does this actually mean? it means he doesn't try in sparring matches. He lets her use magic and skills while he doesn't so this love is really him just allowing himself to get beat up and her enjoying beating him up. He never seems to try in matches, which is another reason why the tournament arc killed the novel for me. Tournament arcs are normally bad, but here he takes a back seat for buddies, avoids what he's best at in individual,  and then doesn't even try in his matches cause he wants to know what dying feels like. He's just too pathetic to be likable to me. all his greatest moments are just different ways of hating himself and committing suicide for others he cares about more than himself.  He's got issues.  He even refuses to properly equip himself because he's too busy equipping everyone else because he's not as important as others.

I liked the first chapters. It moved a bit slow but is the only thing I can say against It. The characters are interesting and there are a few surprises. I like more lighthearted stories bit anyone that likes drama would enjoy it. ??✌???

Max would go every other day without food as Conalds intentionally ignored the baby, only acknowledging Max's existence when the stink from the diaper would interefere with his 'round the clock drinking. The baby no doubt would have died if one of the other residents in the foster home didn't take over and begin to feed and change the baby every day.

This review is current up to chapter 200. I will also do my best to not spoil anything but only provide hints.I want to start with the negative. Thus far, the only problem I have with this story is the MC is a bit too lax. The MC joins a new school who do some…questionable things for recruitment. After something quite traumatic, he is essentially perfectly okay with being someone’s experiment. I don’t have a problem with how it played out as it played out well, but I wish the MC was more hesitant, questioning, and that more inner monologue was shown after he was recruited to the school to show more depth to how he was feeling and justify a bit more why he agreed to do some of the things he did.Now for the positive, I love how the world is being built. We are 200 chapters in and the setting for the world has been established but there is still a huge amount of mystery surrounding everything. The school the MC is attending also actually has some depth to it and doesnt feel just randomly thrown together. As for the MC himself, he isnt necessarily a pushover but he won’t seek out trouble either. As stated before, he is a bit too “go with the flow” but he does have a bit of decisive ruthlessness in him. The side characters have some personality to them but they haven’t been explored in extreme depth as of yet. Finally, for those wondering about romance, there’s nothing yet. There are a couple of potential partners but nothing concrete. One of my own pet peeves is I despise when romance is forced into a story through some unfathomable coincidense and it just magically works out. So far, there’s signs there are going to be romance but it doesn’t appear as if it’s just going to be thrown into the story randomly, which is a huge plus point in my book.Overall, I highly recommend it. It’s been a fun story so far.
