This story seems to indicate that the MC will get to travel to different worlds or time periods to perform certain tasks. After getting an opportunity to potentially solve the MC's illness, the MC is transported back to 1986 Hong Kong where a game-like element is introduced along with a set of tasks. To achieve the task, the MC appears to be willing to do whatever is necessary, even following underneath a boss, clinging to a wealthy sponsor (woman) and underground fighting. The story seems to focus heavily on martial arts, going deep into some historical martial art context.

I know The Synopsis is messed up, Here you go.
Short: Seems like the mix of 48 Hours a day and The devils cage. Mc is a martial artist, He uses his head, and doesn’t cower. Very realistic. But he has Leukemia. Basically a story about a sick Mc getting a chance to be cured by participating in something. He doesn’t know what is going on. He gets thrown in a world (1986 HongKong) to complete mission and gain points to use the cure. They are called “Yanfu Walkers”. The world seems really interesting, The “Gods/High level entities” are monsters or myths from ancient china (Vermilion bird etc.). So far it seems like there will be a lot of things happening in the real world too and not just the “Game”. Basically other than the Translator translating exact words, And a little confusion during dialogues, This novel is great.

Long:
World: It is believed there there is a Yanfu tree, And our world in one of the fruits. Our world AKA our timeline. Each fruit has a different timeline/World. Like how the parallel world theory works. And The people who can travel between this worlds are Yanfu Walkers, Like our MC, Who go to different worlds to do missions and earn point and level up. From the looks of it, This world will have historical Events with a touch of magicalism, Nothing Scifi yet as the tag suggests. I will not go into detail of each world. Too much

The novel is ok. the translation is a bit problematic as I beleive that the translator just translator tried to translate everything word for word. which caused some words be akward. The story development is also ok but I wouldnot say it best as everything was explained in casual fashion during conversations may be thats for the best. After reading 39 chapters, I still cannot get the total view of mc's character. The mc's character impression is not bold and noticeable as the story wants.

Why the hell can they not put in a synopsis for the stories instead of this useless crap. More and more are getting like this.

I would recommend reading the manga it is far ahead of the translation

How should I put it starts stereotypical, but within that first chapter every thing changes. Our MC has cancer and suddenly a demon pops up to make a deal. The plot is fast paced with plenty of action, but the dialogue and transition are weird. I don't know if that is the fault of the translator or the Author

It’s ok I wished it could have been better. If the translator didn’t try to translate word for word the whole story would have been smoother and way easier to understand.

I just really don't find this story to be gripping in any way and it feels too shallow and like story that has already been told thousands of times. I don't know why I keep getting this recommended to me, but I'm really not personally interested in it.
