Feels like I've read the beginning somewhere before....Anyways, I don't mind that this has a system. Although the fact that an mc can't be evil without some stupid sad background annoys me.Edit: sadly, the author often steps into the same pitfalls that chinese authors do. If he had a bit more insight and originality, this could've been way better. For example, why does he decide to use the sword (before even seeing that he's talented at it) and why is he even talented at it? Literally every generic chinese novel protagonist and their mother uses a sword. Can we not at least get something original like a spear, a glaive, a knife, an axe, etc etc. There are so many weapons, yet you have to choose the most overused one. Or, for example, chasing short term benefits with a risk instead of being slightly slower, yet much safer. The mantra is "never think ahead" for these people. There are just so many missed opportunities with these chinese novels written by non-chinese people. They always fear to take any risks, which results in their novels being as generic as the chinese ones. While RI's protagonist is actually intelligent, this novel's mc just pretends to be, and I think this is because the mc can only be as smart as the novel's author.
