In the post-apocalyptic slums of Blue Star, known as the Redra Defense Line, a massive scarred beastman named Hei Yun discovers a pristine white egg abandoned in the wasteland. He incubates it for three months, caring for it with rare tenderness. When the egg hatches, a tiny girl named Lin Suisui emerges. Unlike other hatchlings who are born with aggressive instincts and sharp claws, Suisui is soft, gentle, and fragile. She immediately bonds with Hei Yun, calling him "Daddy," and the two form a deep father-daughter relationship. Hei Yun, a silent warrior who once served as the Great Demon King, becomes fiercely protective of his little hatchling, shielding her from the harsh environment and the foul odors of the slums.
Suisui is introduced to Hei Yun's community, a group of rough beastmen led by Ge Sang, who manage the base. The group is shocked by Suisui's delicate nature, as hatchlings are typically destructive and dangerous. Ge Sang recognizes that the slums are too perilous for such a vulnerable child and suggests sending her to the Hatchling Protection Association in Central City. Hei Yun refuses to let her go, declaring that she is his and that he will protect her from the Corruption, a remnant of the apocalypse that infects living beings. Despite his stubbornness, the reality of their situation forces a compromise: Suisui will stay with them for a few days before being relocated.
During this time, Suisui interacts with the base members, bringing warmth and joy to the rough beastmen. She befriends Cheng Fifteen, a plant-type beastman with vine abilities, and shares moments with Hei Yun, such as cooking corn and exchanging gifts. However, their peaceful days are interrupted when a swarm of Corruption-infected beasts attacks. Hei Yun, whose spiritual sea is already unstable due to his agitation period, is overwhelmed by the Corruption's influence. His body begins to transform into a massive white wolf, and he loses control, threatening to become a monster.
Suisui refuses to abandon him and runs toward the beastified Hei Yun, touching him with her hands. This act triggers an awakening within her. A dazzling white light erupts from her body, emitting a healing aura that purges the Corruption from Hei Yun and the infected beasts. She enters his spiritual sea, where she sees his suffering and uses her newfound faith power to suppress the black mist of Corruption. This power, known as Healing, is unprecedented on Blue Star, as no one has ever been able to completely eliminate Corruption.
After the battle, Suisui falls into a deep sleep from exhaustion. Hei Yun, now restored, guards her with renewed intensity. Their reunion is interrupted by the appearance of Lin Tianci, a frail boy who has been living inside a parasitic tree for years, waiting for his "Big Sister." Tianci senses Suisui's unique aura and believes she is his long-lost sister. He confronts Hei Yun, demanding that she be given to him. The tension escalates as both Hei Yun and Tianci prepare to fight, their spiritual powers clashing violently. However, Suisui murmurs "Little brother" in her sleep, causing Tianci to pause and recognize her as his sister. The story concludes with the revelation of Suisui's past connections and the emerging danger posed by her powerful healing ability, which could attract attention from all factions on Blue Star.
