Why do I feel like the author is a investor turned otaku/writer. ??? He explains the concept in such a way you can see, he is experienced in this field.

"Stay here," She whispered. "I'll let him know you've arrived." Aaron nodded cautiously, watching as she disappeared through the tent entryway. The heated discussion in the tent ended abruptly, and after a few seconds of silence an odd group of humans appeared from the entrance. Aaron's ears lowered instinctively as he moved out of the way. The three of them gave off a vibe that Aaron didn't want near him and the leader, a pale and black haired woman, seemingly smiled at his mild discomfort. Aaron watched silently as the group left and as he turned around, questions lingered in his mind.

"But Miss... " The warrior wanted to add something.

   "It's not much" I laughed, embarrassed by the flattery "I simply give blood regularly and support some charitable causes with the little I have"
