Found out the MC does everything opposite of what is supposed to happen, giving him his "heroic" characteristics, so I'm dropping this after I skimmed through different chapters. I don't see any evil aspects in this so I'm dropping this.

Christian and Serena  lack trust between them. they don't get it arguments and that causes the situation to get worse.
