I agree that in this case novel is better, but then again that is also a personal opinion. The tried and true method is to not discuss any opinions you or anyone else holds on the internet.

This is a good read just that it can get a little annoying how lucky he can get  apart from that it is good you won't see him looking for trouble on his own accord (kinda)
