warlock normally gets power very fast but isnt very steady(specialities-dark/corrupt magic(stereotype-normally dies from their own magic/usage))
wizard takes ages to get a solid foundation of power(specialities-all)(stereotype-dies from old age after crafting a ground-breaking spell)
source: dnd mainly and other random novels but mostly sorcerers(basically a good warlock) and warlocks are mixed up same with all other magic user names so dont focus on it too much
