I must say that I have been searching for a good novel combining the Modern Day world with Cultivation, they are rare and most that I found are sub par, but this one, well it's good.PROs:- A badass MC(I had enough of MC's that are cringe and unlikable or having to wait for character development, I prefer to hear the MC's story piece by piece) Check, - Cultivation in a modern world Check, - Harem that for many will be a turnoff, but I am fine with or without so Check- Good grammar, I don't have to stop to reread to understand what happens, with mistakes like a character's name in another place, that have no effect on the overall novel.CONs:- The world building can be worked on, until now we don't know too much about the overall world also how chi made it's way in the world or if was there since the immemorial.- For people that don't like Harems, I don't think it's for you, even if it's well done.Overall: A good read.

The mc is a very lousy type and it is quite justified, since it is due to his young age and personality as he loves to show off. When reading this I try to ignore all the details and only focus om finding out about what will happen to him. This way make the novel more enjoyable. Nevertheless as long as the author do not make the mc to behave too silly and also show a potential in improving his calmness and rationality while keeping his arrogance in the future then this might be more entertaining and the novel can as a result extend its reach to a broader audience. I dont think this novel will make it to the top since this kind of MC does not seems to be very popular anymore comparing to other top novels, however if the author can prove his own novelty in making it interesting then I might be wrong about this. Best of luck to the author.

An interesting plot furthered by good writing. Although system fantasy stories have become an increasingly common staple, hopefully the author will be able to distance this story from others.

This story had a great start. The system was a little off, but could be corrected and improved over time. It did not get improved and only went downhill from there. The system seems to forget simple things. For example, it missed when the MC killed a three legged chicken and it did not update the Exp on it. It just randomly says, “you killed enough things to here’s a level or two”. The character has many loopholes and for a character that is supposed to get smarter every level, he seems to forget simple things. One time he decides to kill two mages because, “although they are non hostile they provide a passive threat to me that could go off anytime”. The problem is that the MC forgot he has this power that can make people forget things and make them have illusions. He could have just made them forget any trace of him then put them under an illusion so they can’t see him or his traces. Also the grammar is quite bad. I must say though that this story had great potential. The way the character thought was in a unique way, a way I really liked (at first). The power he had was also unique. A great book that had huge potential, that gave me more thoughts and an unique way of thinking. Poor execution though in my opinion.

Amirah's eyes just crinkled in amusement. "Yeah. He'll probably get jealous and think I was replacing him."

The teacher of world literature might want to work in Thomas Mann's Death in Venice(28,770). The protagonist's denial of his illness and his infatuation with a young boy can lead to all kinds of thought-provoking discussion. Symbolism is also very important in the story, which was first published in 1912. One of Germany's premiere stylists, Mann is perhaps better known for his novels The Magic Mountainand Dr. Faustus, published in 1924 and 1947, respectively. There are various translations of Death in Venice available; for what it is worth, I like the Clayton Koelb version.
