I'll give an honest review this novel could've been good if she divorced her husband like he's so cold can't manage to speak to her without his mother like wtf and I already read a lot of chapters and their's no progress in the relationship between them like it's not the female lead problem it's just her husband like if she want to repay his family she can let them work for her and get money and divorce her husband also I've seen many novels with same scenario but the relatives were more fierce and annoying so in this novel its less fierce I liked it that's my review (it's my opinion don't take it seriously maybe for me not good but for you be different and you could like it)edit: actually they get together like husbands but it's slow romance so yeah:-D

and when was raping someone ever okay, i dont get what goes through Fu Qinglun's head

Excellent world and character building.
Superb translation including explanations of idioms.
Many cultural/historical (chinese) references.
MC and underlying story that does not follow most of the tropes. Out of all the novels I have read I would say this is in the top 5%. And that includes every single one here if you search by rating or ranking. (Top 100 or 50 at the time of this comment.)

That said. I am dropping this excellent series. i.e. I don't mind tragedy...but I prefer more of an upside in my reading. I may take it up again though, after I buy enough chocolate and ice cream for a mood boost.
